How Can Artificial Intelligence Help In A Pandemic?

Among several emerging technologies, especially artificial intelligence (AI) have been increasingly receiving attentions as it provide answers answers to many of the great social challenges such as timely, acceptable and affordable access to health care services as a fundamental right of all citizens. Currently in the fight against COVID-19,  technology has become one of the most used tools by authorities and communities, where AI has been performing an essential role due to its potential. From analyzing social media content to estimating protein structure for vaccine development, AI is presented as one of the main technological options to support public health actions. However, its scope and effect in this pandemic may be very limited in the face of a rapidly growing contagion.
