Telehealth: the incorporation of information and communication technologies into health systems, including medical, academic, administrative, and technical services, for the purpose of exchanging health information. Telemedicine: The provision of health care services, in cases where distance is a critical factor, by health professionals using information and communication technologies to exchange valid information for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases; continuing education for health care professionals; and research and evaluation activities, with the aim of improving the health of individuals and their communities.
