In Mexico, type 2 diabetes is one of the leading causes of death. However, for diabetic patients, receiving specialized care in a timely manner can be a challenge. Not only can the waiting time be a barrier, but also the expense of attending a specialized consultation. That is why, in Mexico City, a pilot telemedicine project was implemented with the objective of overcoming these barriers and improving the quality of care.
