Somos Afro. Channel between governments, civil society and Afro-descendant organizations

Description

The goal of Somos Afro is to promote a communication channel between governments, civil society and Afro-descendant organizations in the region.

SomosAfro.org is an international initiative led by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) that seeks, through a virtual platform and use of social networks, the active and purposeful participation of people, groups, communities and organizations interested in the development and empowerment of Afro-descendant people of Latin America and the Caribbean. At Somos Afro we offer a space for governments, at the national and local level, to articulate their initiatives on Afro-descendant matters. We also seek to cause and deepen a citizen dialogue through the generation of ideas proposed by civil society to solve the challenges faced by Afro-descendant communities. Those involved in this initiative are: National Governments, High Authority Network for Afro-descendants, Harvard University and the OAS.
