EEPA. A specialized study on the Afro-Peruvian population

Description

The Visualization of the EEPA is a specialized study on the Afro-Peruvian population.

The EEPA was a specialized survey developed and implemented in 2014 by the GRADE group for the Afro-descendant population, with financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), with support from the Ministry of Culture of the Peruvian Government and the World Bank. It aimed to make estimates of the living conditions of Afro-Peruvians and to display statistics to inform the entities responsible for making decisions in this regard.

The survey collected data on:

  • Ethnic and racial identity.
  • Housing quality.
  • Access to basic services.
  • Household composition.
  • Documentation on education, health, employment, and participation in social programs.
  • Migration, memory, and local history.

In order to improve the presentation of the main results, an interactive visualization was created and published on the Tableau platform.
