Regional Policy Dialogue 2024: Building Adaptive Social Protection Systems in Latin American and the Caribbean - Testimony from Mr. André Quintão Silva
The Regional Policy Dialogue 2024 on Adaptive Social Protection Systems took place from June 17-19 in Lima, Peru, addressing the growing vulnerability of households to natural disasters, economic disruptions, and health crises, worsened by climate change. Over 120 participants from 31 countries, including 10 ministers and vice-ministers, gathered to exchange knowledge, explore methods, financial tools, and best practices for adaptive social protection.
The video features an interview with Mr. André Quintão Silva, the Secretary of National Secretariat of Social Assistance of the Ministry of Social Development and Assistance, Family and Fight against Hunger in Brazil, to find out what priority investments are to support families facing shocks that affect their well-being.
