Transformation for the future of social services

Social Digital is the work agenda of the Social Sector (SCL)  that leverages the benefits of technology to offer more and better social services in five sectors: Health and Social Protection, Education, Labor, Social Security, Migration, and Gender and Diversity.

The main objectives of the IDB's digital transformation of the Social Sector are to improve the efficiency of the sector, improve the quality of social services and reduce inequality through digital services.

Data Ecosystem

SCLData is a digital platform that contains information on key issues for research and development in Latin America and the Caribbean. It includes indicators in five areas: Demographics, Education, Labor Market, Housing, and Income, disaggregated by ethnicity and race (when available) in addition to being disaggregated by gender, geographic residence, education, and income quintile.
