This paper explores for the first time the impact of a demand-driven training program on labor turnover at both firm and worker level. Launched in 2014 by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Trade (MDIC in Portuguese), Pronatec-MDIC allows firms to demand courses which some of their workers apply to. Difference-in-difference estimates find that workers who enroll in the courses demanded by their employers increase their job tenure by 8.89 months compared to non-enrolled nominees.

The promise of inclusive education in Latin America and the Caribbean is still far from achieved, especially for the thousands of children and youth with some disability in the region. The probability of attending school for children between 6 to 11 years with disabilities is 8 percentage points lower compared to children without disabilities. And in high school, this gap only widens.

The objective of the Click for Education project on Education Management and Information Systems (SIGED) is to identify how daily management processes are carried out and the extent to which they take advantage of automation and digital technologies to improve their efficiency. Broadly speaking, the study seeks to identify opportunities for management improvements related to organizational development, process optimization and the generation of information as constant feedback for all levels of management. The project is based on a comparative analysis of 17 case studies of the region.

Although there is ample support for the causal link between home visit parenting programs and child development outcomes, few studies have explored what it is that drives this relationship -to what extent home visit programs are implemented as designed in terms of the content and strategies used by home visitors. To our knowledge, comparable data on the quality and fidelity of implementation in home visit programs in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) does not exist.

Interoperability in Digital Health: Reference Material

The growth of digital health strategies has increased health professionals access to their patients health information, but one of the key problems in health informatics remains the lack of interoperability between different information systems. Better access to information, including health records from other institutions, is still needed to improve the quality of care and establish continuous patient care.
