Detective Fails in the Grand Robbery of Data

The biometrics used to verify identities have been consolidated as a personal identification solution in recent years. The data that feed it may come from a fingerprint, iris, voice or facial features, as well as less explored forms; such as walking, ear shape, body odor, or heartbeat. However, security-related risks, their impact on fundamental rights and doubts about their effectiveness would justify a much more cautious approach to the use of these systems. This comic addresses these concerns, based on the text "The limits of biometrics" by Gemma Galdon Clavell, and is part of a series of publications on technology for the social good.
