Study on International Telemedicine in Latin America: Motivations, Uses, Outcomes, Strategies and Policies

This paper identifies the main issues related to the development of telemedicine, especially policies, regulatory and legal aspects, and health problems that could be addressed through the use of telemedicine in Latin America. It then identifies the factors that drive and weaken international telemedicine trade in Latin America and the Caribbean and outlines strategic and public policy recommendations to promote the adoption of international telemedicine in the region.
