Interoperability in Digital Health: Reference Material
The growth of digital health strategies has allowed health professionals to increase access to health information they have previously registered about their patients. However, one of the key problems in health informatics is the lack of interoperability between different information systems. It is necessary to expand access to information, including what other professionals register in other institutions, to improve the quality of care and establish continuous patient care. Accelerating that exchange of information means accelerating interoperability. For doctors, it means having access to clinical content from various sources with minimal disruption in the workflow, which is essential to improve the quality and safety of patient care.
