A year ago, Violeta has promoted the health website with the altruistic support of more than 40 doctors residing in Venezuela, the United States, Panama, Spain, the Czech Republic, Chile and Argentina, among other countries. This website offers non-commercial information on health and wellness content, topics of social and community projection, from the perspective of solution journalism. To date, the site have more than 100,000 views from 93 countries, according to validated statistics- Venezuela, Panama, the United States, Argentina, Chile and Spain are among the main readers.
What are the champion's specialties or areas of expertise?
Violeta is a social communicator with 30 years of experience, with experience in the media of Venezuela, Spain and Panama, in addition to having a career as an academic researcher. She has been authors of many books.
Why is the champion passionate about digital health (how did the champion become interested in digital health)?
Violeta understands health from the perspective of the World Health Organization- the state of well-being or being healthy is not only due to a relationship with the drug. It must involve a general state of comfort. Thus, she has always been passionate about the social issue and giving answers, and contributions from journalism. She thought vast number of people who would see their health more diminished because they did not have access to medicines or reliable information. She will structure a space from which to provide ethical and reliable information that helps majority.
How can we attract more women to work on digital health?
From the point of view of health professionals, Violeta believes that it is essential to give digital tools to women, so that they can understand that if they know how to manage their networks, and ways to reach more population.
