She worked on the implementation of the central technological infrastructure, and coordination of the training plan to reduce the gap in technological knowledge. Marisa Aizenberg's most recent achievement is to lead Latin America's first Digital Health graduate course, which has the participation of great professionals, and comes with an inter- and multidisciplinary approach. Other achievements have been to participate in the drafting laws related to health and new technologies.

Marisa Aizenberg is a reference in the world of health law. She has started the movement within Latin America, making the enormous challenges that bring us the confluence of the health world with the legal world visible, by becoming an expert in legal advice and health management.
Why is the champion passionate about digital health (how did the champion become interested in digital health)?
Marisa is a passionate person. I had and have the pleasure of working side by side with her and her passion is passed on to the rest immediately.
How can we attract more women to work on digital health?
Definitely the first step is training. We need to get more women involved in the issues of new technologies. Women need to be fearless and free ourselves from all prejudice because we women have an unlimited capacity for projection.

In 2018, Miriam was an exhibitor at the "Computex" International Fair in Taipei, Taiwan with CuidaMED, representing Mexico in the startup pavilion. In 2019, she was a finalist with CuidaMED of ashOKA's "Committed" call, UNESCO and SociaLab. In 2019, she was won at Tabasco Emprende contest with CuidaMED. In 2020 with CuidaMED, she participated in collaboration with the Council of Science and Technology of the State of Tabasco supported by CONACYT, in the elaboration of a board game that aims to teach about the work of heroes during the COVID-19 pandemic, which she enjoyed.
What are the champion's specialties or areas of expertise?
Miriam has a degree in Business with certification in information technologies. She focused on developing specialties in health service, and took certifications in the geriatric area from the National Institute of Geriatrics in Mexico. She is the primary caregiver of her father, who has been suffering from Alzheimer's for 7 years. This is what inspired her to create this platform aimed mainly at older adults with some medical condition.
Why is the champion passionate about digital health (how did the champion become interested in digital health)?
After her father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Miriam became more interested in learning more about this disease. She found out that a characteristic of these patients is demodulation and disorientation, which she decide to solve. That's why CuidaMED is focused on the well-being of patients and their caregivers.
How can we attract more women to work on digital health?
Miriam believes that by exposing "role models" of women who have dabbled, succeeded and supported them in this walk, it would greatly help other young women and girls to make the decision to choose this course and every day to make a better synergy with the work teams in digital health.
